Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained notoriety for her roles in the film Hum Aapke Hin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 80s the actress began her acting career and became well-known for the character Tezaab in which she appeared with the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. In Mumbai her home, she grew up within a middle class family parents. At a very young age, she began to take dance lessons. When she was a teen she started acting, and was a victim for a few years because most of her early films failed. The actress gained fame and was one of India's top film actors. After her marriage, she took a pause from her acting career. She returned later. In the last few years, Dixit was a key player as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri - the fourth most highly regarded civilian award in India - was given to Dixit. Her fame is based on her charitable work as well.
