Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is an Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. Since her teen years she's embraced the edges of both traditional and popular music. Additionally, she explores genres including hip-hop, trap and soul. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and well-known musician, has described the sound of this young artist as sharp with sweetness but with bite. After her 2017 debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately winning a Grammy. La Fama featuring Weeknd debuted in 2021. Motomami was her 3rd studio album. She collaborated with many musicians and producers including Cory Henry. The set came out in on March 20, 2022 following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first woman in history to be awarded this award.
