Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying songs with her mother she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at private parties and events singing classical Latin American Music. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation to keep this tradition in the present.
